The Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), today, hosted the first leg of its flagship industry event, Spacetronics 2023, bringing together prominent industry members, thought leaders and experts to delve into the realm of Intelligent System Design for Mission-Critical Systems. The event took place on May 25, 2023, at Hilton Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park (Convention Centre).
The summit witnessed the participation of eminent personalities who shared their valuable insights and experiences in the field. Distinguished attendees included, Mr. Anshuman Tripathi, Member, National Security Advisory Board, Mr. Jayant Patil, Member of Executive Committee of Management, L&T, Mr. Manoj Jain, Director R&D, Bharat Electronics Ltd, and Dr. Nilesh Desai, Director, SAC, Ahmedabad.

The event commenced with opening address by Mr. K. Krishna Moorthy, CEO and President, IESA, and Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Chairman, IESA, President & CEO at Minda Corporation, followed by a speech by the Guest of Honour. Mr. Jayant Patil, Member of Executive Committee of Management, L&T, made the Presidential Address at the event.
Attendees were also treated to insightful presentations by industry experts, including “Leveraging Automated Test to Enable Digital Transformation” by Mr. Ranjith Naduvil, Regional Manager and Country Head (Engineering) at NI, “Intelligent System Design for Mission-Critical Systems” by Mr. Jaishankar Narayanankutty, Sales Group Director at Cadence, “Overviews of the India Space Policy, CANSAT Competition, and the SMOPS 2023 Conference” by Dr. Vinod Kumar, Director, IN-SPACe, Bengaluru, and “Building Next Generation Space & Defence Systems and Adaptive Computing” by Mr. Rohith Gopalakrishna, Country Sales Manager, AMD.
The conference also featured engaging panel discussions that shed light on various aspects of the industry, such as “Success Stories from Indian Industries in Space Electronics”, “Successful Design and Development of Satellites by Engineering Colleges across India”, and “Academic Research and Product Development for Space and Defence”. The conference also showcased informative presentations highlighting the successful development and unveiling of NavIC receivers by two Indian startups, Accord Software Systems and Manjeera Digital Systems Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, CEO, KDEM, shared some invaluable insights on their initiatives on “Space and Defence Beyond Bengaluru”, followed by inspiring keynote addresses from Ms. Gunjan Krishna IAS, Commissioner of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Karnataka, and Dr. EV Ramana Reddy IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Electronics & IT, Govt. of Karnataka.
