So, that’s why Instagram has come up for rescue to its users by introducing a brand-new feature i.e., the Anti-abuse feature. This feature will enable users to safeguard themselves from cyberbullying. 

The new feature of Instagram limits the comments and direct messages requests. It’ll issue stronger warnings if someone tries to post an offensive comment. To protect yourself from unknown people or folks that don’t follow you or who have recently become your follower, you’ll be able to hide your comments and DM ( Direct Message) request automatically with the assistance of the ‘Limits’ feature. You’ll enable this feature in your privacy settings. 

With the assistance of the ‘Hidden Words’ feature, which is already there within the application you’ll be able to filter offensive words, phrases, and emojis into a hidden folder that you simply can open whenever you wish to. This can also filter spam requests automatically. As of now, this feature is offered for under some countries, but it’ll be made available to the globe by the top of the month.

It has upgraded the list of a possible potential list of offensive words, emojis, and hashtags that gets filtered. Those that were involved in posting offensive comments are warned a few million times a day on average by the corporate. As a result of which about 50% turned to be changed or deleted after the warnings.
