Facebook-owned photo-sharing platform is going to test a new feature limiting the users from sharing feed posts in their stories. As a part of its testing this platform sent out a new pop-up to some users and it notifies “Testing a Change to Sharing to Stories”. Instagram wants to see only fewer posts in their stories and it means the change will stop the repetition of posts on multiple elements.

Instagram notification will send by the pop-up reads. Currently, Instagram is trying to limit the ability to share photos and videos posted on the feed and then re-shared to stories that may be connected with the community feedback. The feed and stories are two different elements on Instagram, but usually, the users end up posting the same thing on both elements. You will be able to see the stories when you are following that particular person. The story of the feed post you interacted with from an account could be irritating at some level. Instagram is trying to fix this repetition. This feature will be available for everyone very soon. It is not sure that whether it is available to business accounts or personal accounts. The users are sharing so many feeds to their stories and it is annoying also. The change will be able to limit the people and it will bring the change also.

The change can hit the content creators because they are practicing the re-share posts in their stories to maximize more engagement rate. Instagram stories were launched in 2016 and toted as feature inspired by Snapchat. There are 500 million people who interact with Instagram stories every day. In July 2020, the company claimed this.
