iQoo, the Chinese tech giant, has recently launched its flagship gaming smartphone, the iQoo Neo 7 in India, which is giving tough competition to the Poco X5 Pro 5G. This article will compare the two smartphones based on price, display, processor, camera, battery, and connectivity options.

Price in India

The iQoo Neo 7 5G is available in two variants, 8GB RAM with 128GB ROM priced at ₹29,999, and 12GB RAM with 256GB ROM priced at ₹33,999. On the other hand, the Poco X5 Pro 5G comes in two models: 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage priced at ₹22,999, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage priced at ₹24,999.

Display and Processor

The iQoo Neo 7 5G is a dual SIM device that runs on Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13. It features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1300 nits of peak brightness. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200 5G chipset, coupled with Mali G610, and up to 12GB of LPDDR RAM. It also has an expandable RAM support of up to 20GB.

In contrast, the Poco X5 Pro 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G CPU with an Adreno 642L GPU. It has a 6.67-inch HD AMOLED display, a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 900 nits. The screen supports HDR10+ and is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The device supports up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Poco X5 Pro is powered by a modified MIUI 14 built on Android 12.

Camera

The primary triple back camera arrangement of the iQoo Neo 7 5G has a 64MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the other hand, the Poco X5 Pro 5G boasts a three-camera system with a 108MP ISOCELL HM2 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. Poco says that the back camera can record 4K films at 30 frames per second. The handset has a 16MP front-facing camera that can capture full-HD movies at 120fps for selfies and video chats.

Battery

The iQoo Neo 7 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W flash charging. The company claims that this handset can charge up to 50 per cent of the battery in just 10 minutes.

On the other hand, the Poco X5 Pro is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and comes with 67-watt fast charging support. The device also features 5-watt reverse charging.

Connectivity options and sensors

The iQoo Neo 7 comes with 256GB of UFS3.1 inbuilt storage. The handset gets 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, OTG, NFC, GPS, a USB Type-C port, an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a gyroscope, a proximity sensor, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Poco X5 Pro’s connectivity features include a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.1.
