July 29, 2012: ITC Ltd, one of the largest diversified business groups in India has decided to enter the dairy market with milk and milk-based products. The company plans to invest around Rs 400 crore to Rs 500 crore in this business.
They will initially launch animal husbandary as a CSR activity in their current plans. Later the company would utilise the milk produced from animal husbandry activity to sell to the market.
