ITMVUG Empowers Future Technologists with Insightful Industrial Visit to ISRO and TOPS Technologies

Delhi, April 10, 2025 – ITM Vocational University Gujarat (ITMVUG) organized a successful industrial visit to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and TOPS Technologies, Ahmedabad, for students of BCA and B.Tech programs. A total of 80 students accompanied by 3 faculty members took part in this knowledge-enriching experience.

The visit, held on April 3, 2025, was coordinated by the Training and Placement Department under the leadership of Mr. Deerghaou Sharma, Manager – Training and Placement. The primary goal of this initiative was to bridge the gap between academic curriculum and practical industrial exposure.

At ISRO, students gained in-depth insights into space research, satellite communication, and the various scientific advancements led by India’s premier space agency. The interaction allowed them to witness the real-time functioning of critical space missions and understand India’s achievements in the global space sector.

The students then visited TOPS Technologies, a leading IT training and development company. Here, they explored emerging trends in software development, industry-standard technologies, and the dynamic requirements of the modern IT sector.

This dual visit proved to be an eye-opener for students, offering them valuable exposure to real-world applications of theoretical concepts. It also helped them understand the expectations of the tech and space industries, thereby preparing them for future career opportunities.

Speaking on the impact of the industrial visit, Dr. Anil Bisen, Provost from ITMVUG stated “Here at ITMVUG, we feel that authentic learning is fostered outside the four walls of a classroom. Such an industrial visit to ISRO and TOPS Technologies goes beyond an academic exercise; it is about nurturing young minds by providing them with the challenges of the actual world to spark their innovative thinking. These types of interactions will greatly aid in the development of future technologists, researchers, and leaders. We are committed to building a culture of experiential learning where students do not just learn but also have confidence, clarity, and direction toward their careers.”

ITMVUG continues to focus on delivering industry-integrated learning experiences, encouraging students to engage directly with leading institutions and professionals in their respective fields.
