JJ Tax App gets PE funds of ₹1000 million in 9 months of post launch

JJ Tax App is India’s first chat-based tax app which was launched in 2019 by the striving chartered accountants, Leesha Arya and Mehak Malik. This app was selected as the ‘Best Fintech Solutions of the year’ by ‘Time2Leap’ Awards in just four months duration supported by Pratap Chandra Sarangi, the  Minister of State, Government of India. It was under the guidance of the CEO of a leading tax firm in Gurgaon, CA Mr. J. Jambukeswaran the co-founders decided against launching the app on May 26, 2020. The launch was at a time when the country was at a wave of shifting into digitalization. The app was launched with a target of 10000 subscribers by the end of FY2021 but became a milestone. They revised their fiscal target several times as they have reached their goal sooner. Now the team is chasing a target of 1 million subscribers, out of which 50% is already achieved, by January 2021.

A simple but effective and fruitful idea of simplifying the taxation process and queries related to tax has become one of the most popular and successful start-ups in India. JJ Tax is all set for its first corporate meet in February end with PE funding of 1000 million rupees. The app is also available on Amazon and it is planning to add a feature of offline query solution. JJ Tax enables millions of people to switch to a digital and easier platform for their tax queries with their user-friendly UI. It has more than 3000 queries per month. The team was able to deliver a transformative customer experience under the leadership of CA Rashi Bajpai.

JJ Tax App promoters are ready to launch a student’s app named as JoJo, a non-stop solution for the education of commerce, Accounts, Tax, and related subjects with the quiz and chat options. This is a user-friendly and affordable app. It has received a commitment of PE funding of 1000 million rupees even before its launch. Bhavya Mittal, the Chief  Designer and Director of JJ Tax App have been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of JoJo Edtech and she would be spearheading the launch in the first week of April 2021. The JoJo app aims at a target of enrolling 1 million subscribers by March 2022. By the end of 2021, both companies are planning to expand and to take the headcount from 30 to 200, by the end of 2021. The emerging trend of digitalization is an important factor in helping out to reach their target audience with an Omni-approach.
