The continuing surge in the gaming sector is anticipated to result in a heightened need for proficient individuals. Reports suggest that the industry is projected to expand by an additional 20%-30% and generate 100,000 direct and indirect job opportunities in the future, particularly in fields such as game development and engineering. While strides have been made in the field of game design education in India, industry experts acknowledge that there is still a significant journey ahead. Despite the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the gaming industry, the quality and quantity of educational offerings remain a concern.
In response to this challenge, JS Institute of Design (JSID), has collaborated with École Intuit Lab — a French institute of design and creative strategy, ranked amongst the Top 2 design schools in France, renowned for its innovative curriculum and industry-focused approach. Together, they offer exclusive new-age programs such as Game Design, UI/UX, and Digital Design to address the dynamic demands of the evolving design landscape. The UG programs include Game Art & Design, Visual Communication, and Digital Product Design, while a PG program covers Advertising, Design & Digital Communication. JSID also offers a 12-month PG course in Interior Design.
The collaboration between JSID and École Intuit Lab brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. With a legacy spanning 22 years, École Intuit Lab boasts a stellar 98% placement rate, with graduates securing coveted positions at leading global brands such as National Geographic, Netflix, and Starbucks. By integrating global design standards with hands-on learning experiences, the partnership aims to empower students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s competitive design industry.
On the same, Nien Siao, dean of JSID said, “JSID is not just a school; it’s a bridge across the realms of imagination and innovation. With a commitment to excellence in game design education, we harness the brilliance of our world-class faculty and immersive experiences to pave the way for the next generation of game creators, shaping a future where dreams become interactive realities.”
