‘The Indian homegrown burger chain JumboKing has carried forward the theme ‘#VocalaboutLocal’ with a plethora of posts on the social media following the PM Modi’s speech’
PM Modi in his address to the nation on 12th May, stressed on the ‘mantra’ of being ‘Vocal about Local’ which was carried forward by many Indian consumer companies as part of marketing campaigns and advertisements to gain more customer acceptance compared to the multinational brands. “Covid-19 time has made us realise the importance of local traders, craftsmen and brands. Time has taught us that we must make ‘local’ the mantra of our lives. Global brands that are there today were once local too. But when people there started supporting them, they became global. That is why from today, every Indian must become vocal for our local”,says the Prime Minister in his speech
JumboKing, one of India’s favourite QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) brand also took this opportunity to conduct many advertisements and marketing campaigns and had created many creative posts carrying forward the message of preferring local brands. Dheeraj Gupta, MD of Jumboking said, “What PM Modi said is very relevant to the present times and to the growth of India as a nation. Jumboking is a proud #MadeInIndia brand and we have always been #VocalAboutLocal.”
The Indian home-grown burger chain had recently launched a ‘100% touch free logo’ amidst the lockdown. The touch free logo indicates that, the JumboKing burger is free from human touch from factory to the consumers’ hands. The new logo design also has its brand name displayed in green, indicating the product is completely vegetarian.
The brand had also tried its way to engage with the customers and the people of the country amid the Covid-19 by displaying the company’s social responsibilities. The company was successful in distributing 5000 burgers which were free of cost, to the indigent people in Mumbai during the coronavirus disease outbreak.
Other than JumboKing many Indian Consumer Companies including ITC, Amul, Parle Products, Dabur, Godrej, Bisleri, Voltas and Marico had also carried forward the theme ‘Vocal about Local’ in their latest marketing campaigns and advertisements.
