Bengaluru, 15th October 2024 – Renowned for curating unforgettable experiences, one8 Commune Bangalore is once again setting the stage for an exciting new pop-up – “What’s Poppin? with Chef Sandeep Sreedharan” in partnership with Zomato Experiences. This lively two-day brunch takeover on the 19th and 20th of October, from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm, features the delicious creations of Chef Sandeep Sreedharan, restaurateur and private chef. Inspired by Kerala’s iconic toddy shops, the pop-up promises a curated feast of bold coastal flavours. To top it off, a specially crafted cocktail selection will offer refreshingly inventive pairings that perfectly complement the rich cuisine.  

Renowned for his creative take on South Indian coastal cuisine, Chef Sandeep Sreedharan brings his expertise and passion to this special event. A native of Mahe, a seaside village in North Kerala, Chef Sandeep has earned praise for showcasing Kerala’s rich and diverse epicurean traditions. In the past few years, he has enjoyed visiting toddy shops, which are well-known for their fresh toddy, but also provide a food experience that is unmatched. The pop-up offers an adapted authentic yet modern twist, that recreates his experience of community-style dining and earthy, flavour-packed dishes, paired with the region’s iconic spirit “toddy.”

Guests can look forward to a limitless brunch that combines vivid flavours that come together to create plates of delicious food. The vegetarian offerings include intriguing dishes like crispy Tapioca Fry, Paneer Pollichadu, and Arbi Theeyal served with flaky Porotta. For those who want to indulge in non-vegetarian options, the menu showcases a diverse selection of Kerala’s coastal cuisine, from the fiery Fish Cutlet with Pineapple Ketchup to the indulgent Crab Varattiyathu and succulent Prawn Peera. A reduced à la carte menu will also be available for guests who prefer a more curated dining experience.

Expect creative drinks like Rasam Snapper, Payada Payasam Horchata, Banana Kaapi Martini, Pineapple & Cucumber Cooler, and Blueberry & Kanchampudi Sip, each perfectly paired to enhance the menu’s robust and earthy dishes.
