Komal Rukhana, the Co-founder at Mint and Milk PR, in her 15 year career tenure, has catered to over 100+ clients including notable brands in the fashion, beauty, home decor, hospitality, wellness and luxury industries. Known for her creative skills and being adept at crafting compelling narratives for the right audience, Komal has excelled at building strong media relations in an ever-evolving media and social media landscape. What keeps her going is being able to build brands that she truly believes in and help them realise their goals.
Over the years, upon sharing a great camaraderie, values, working styles and a common passion to work for brands as a strategic partner, during the corporate stints with Janvi Mankani she decided to further pursue her passion and started Mint and Milk PR at the age of 25 in 2017. Mint and Milk PR is a boutique PR agency offering services such as s trategic media relations, influencer marketing and brand strategy.
‘Mint’ stands for Minty Fresh ideas and ‘Milk’ represents honesty and transparency. Some of the prominent campaigns that are close to her heart and brands that she has helped excel are:
● Stategising and executing an event on the ‘Retrospective of fashion through the years’ for
MELANGE’s 25th Anniversary, alongside the stalwart of fashion, Mr Sangita Kathiwada
● Launching Sonakshi Sinha and Srishti Raai’s brand, SOEZI and ideating the wildly quirky and popular ‘fake engagement’ campaign that created a stir in the industry
● Embarking on KALKI’s growth journey with multiple store launches in India and forging unique
and impactful brand and celebrity collaborations to help them widen their reach and visibility
Sharing deep compassion for clients and her team, Komal quotes, “PR can never be quantified. It involves not only assessing the client requirements before crafting a strategic campaign, but also educating the client on the fact that an effect of today’s PR campaign might bring the desired results many years later.”
Delving into her past, Komal started her corporate journey in this dynamic industry at a remarkable age of 18, where she began her career as a Management Trainee at Adlabs Imagica in Mumbai. Throughout her tenure at Adlabs Imagica, she showcased her prowess in overseeing corporate marketing and communications with dedication and finesse. Contributing her time towards direct marketing and amidst her corporate responsibilities, Komal has consistently championed the ethos of delivering tangible value to both clients and the organization which goes far beyond monetary confinements and transactions.
She subsequently went on to strengthen her academic credentials with a Master's Degree in Fashion and Luxury Brand Management from London in 2013 which expanded her horizons towards the luxury sector. She later garnered an opportunity with Sunita Mukhi, which is a London based luxury handbag brand where she delved further into the insights of PR thereby securing her future with the space. Komal returned to her homeland-India to expand her knowledge within the luxury sector and worked with agencies to build her credibility by contributing to some stellar projects- such as the launch of HM in India and collaborations such as Good Earth X Sabyasachi, worked with Raw Mango in for their launch in Mumbai, Forevermark and Swarovski. Hailing from the pedigree/lineage of a business family Komal entrepreneurship has been ingrained in her skin and starting her company was the next natural step.
At Mint and Milk PR, she divides her time equally between the Mumbai and Pune offices and is focused on adding value to clients where passion materializes into growth stories for brands. With a proficiency in mathematics, Komal also oversees Accounts and other key growth aspects of the business. She is committed to thinking outside of the box and foraying into industries that continue to excite including tech, art and culture, web3 to ensure that there is no stone left unturned for Mint and Milk PR and that the company is set for expansion.
