Kraftshala launches Bilingual Digital Marketing course to open job market for heartland talent
Kraftshala, India’s largest marketing-jobs providing edtech platform, has launched a first-of-a-kind Digital Marketing Course that uses both Hindi and English as the medium of instruction. The move promises to open up several high-quality jobs—previously considered the sole preserve of the English-proficient youth– for those who are not fluent or conversant in English in Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities.
As per reports, approximately 30% of the Indian population has some level of English-speaking ability, with only around a third demonstrating proficiency in reading and writing.[1] In this light, the course aims to empower this segment of the population and arm students with modern digital marketing skills– taught in Hindi – to help them succeed in a corporate setup with confidence.
Named Marketing Launchpad – Emerging Talent program, the course is covered by Kraftshala’s unique placement accountability feature, where if the placement that a student gets after training is < 3L, they don’t pay most of the fee.
“The tremendous surge in e-commerce and digital communication has created a scenario where digital marketing has not only become a lucrative but also a high employability career. However, conventional digital marketing courses are run purely in English, which puts non-English speakers at a disadvantage. We decided to help learners overcome this barrier by meticulously crafting a digital marketing course in Hindi. It has opened the field for the millions of job-seekers who were earlier deterred due to their lack of English fluency. We believe that professional success is always about creativity, hard work, and talent and we are eliminating all other barriers for those joining our courses and eventually jobs that they deserve” said Varun Satia, Founder & CEO, of Kraftshala.
The course was launched after a pilot yielded positive results that saw 20% of the emerging talent batch secure full-time positions with salaries ranging from 4.5 to 5 lakhs annually. About 30% of students secured internships with prestigious brands and are expected to transition into full-time roles with salaries averaging 4.5 lakhs within 3-4 months. The remaining 50% have secured roles with salaries ranging from Rs 3 to 4 lakhs annually. Companies such as Qtonz, ESeo Solution, Digi Route, and Social Tribe, among others, have hired these students busting the misconception that English fluency is essential for success in digital marketing.
Sonia Prasad, an alumnus of the Emerging Talent digital marketing course (in Hindi), said,      “Before enrolling in Kraftshala’s bilingual digital marketing course, I lacked knowledge in this field and imagined corporate roles restricted only to folks who can speak very fluent english. Post doing the program, I realised that success in digital marketing isn’t dependent on language proficiency but on confidence to be able to deliver results which in turn requires marketing analysis, creativity, and analytical skills. With guidance from industry experts and the supportive Kraftshala team, I gained hands-on experience, built a lot of confidence in speaking through multiple practice sessions and eventually landed a job in a reputed company. On the job, I feel that I have the required skill set which enhances my confidence while conversing with my clients as well as colleagues.”
Kraftshala’s highly-intense course imparts digital marketing expertise while enhancing language, communication, and self-confidence. The course design focuses on honing the all-round skills of the learners with bilingual instruction, easy-to-understand and precise study materials and personalised coaching. The program ensures that the students instead of learning English in isolation, do so while applying it to digital marketing situations – e.g. how to explain a media plan, how to ask for more information to do an analysis, how to present the analysis, and so on. It aims to prepare aspirants for the competitive corporate culture, addressing the unique needs of those who are not fluent English speakers.
