Lay’s, India’s favorite chip brand, is introducing a new flat cut chip and its smallest line of chips ever – Lay’s Wafer Style – to expand its brand footprint in the country.

Lay’s Wafer Style chips are extremely thinly sliced and come in three delicious flavors: Salt & Pepper, Tangy Treat, and Sundried Chilli providing consumers with a melt-in-mouth crunch in every bite.

Lay’s Wafer Style, inspired by the chip’s thinness and slender appearance, embarks on a pleasant trip with the debut of the TVC campaign ‘#PaperThinWaferThin,’ which stars Lay’s brand ambassador and Bollywood Superstar Alia Bhatt and rising Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Alia and Siddhant enjoy a moment that comes alive through their playfulness and friendship while sitting together at a library. Alia tantalizes, Siddhant cajoles, and suddenly the magic happens with only a few words and an endearing eagerness.

Alia’s hands dance as she holds the ideal Lay’s Wafer chip – irresistibly crunchy, delightfully light, and paper-thin.

“It has always been wonderful being on the brand and I am really enthusiastic about the new offering,” Alia Bhatt, a leading actor, and Lay’s brand ambassador, said of the new introduction.

Lay’s is known for being a pioneer in introducing new ideas to the potato chip sector, and with Wafer Style, they’ve created a fantastic product that comes in a variety of delicious flavors.

Lay’s Wafer Style is incredibly thin, and I had a lot of fun filming with it alongside Siddhant for the TVC. I hope Lay’s fans across the country like the TV commercial as well as this new item that enhances moments spent with friends.

Lay’s has always piqued my interest as a brand because it is enjoyed by millions of people around the country. Working on this TV commercial with Alia on this fantastic new offering was a blast. The Lay’s Wafer Style chip is a brilliant invention from Lay’s. The chip is extremely thin, with a flat-cut texture and delicious flavours that make for a truly pleasurable experience.

“I hope the viewers have as much fun eating the chips as we did while filming the movie,” Siddhant Chaturvedi, a Bollywood actor, added.

The launch of the TV commercial is the first in a series of activations planned for the following weeks by the company. A robust 360-degree digital surround campaign that spans numerous platforms is also being used to promote the latest launch.
