Lenskart launched ‘Vision for Billion’ campaign; a 360-degree campaign celebrates optometrists and is drawn to create awareness around eyecare

To mark the occasion of World Sight Day, Lenskart has launched an unprecedented eye care campaign, Vision For Billion. The month-long initiative is an extension of the brand’s core mission to eradicate preventable blindness and eye disease, and is designed to create impact and advocate universal eye care. From fireside chats with industry leaders to events, meets and interviews with industry experts and healthcare professionals—the purpose is clear—to give eye care access to more than a billion people suffering from preventable eye disease.

At 8 million people, India has the world’s largest blind population; thereby earning the unfortunate moniker of the “blind capital of the world”. Globally, over 2.2 billion people have vision impairment. Nearly half of this is preventable blindness. But lack of awareness and access has made this a widespread ailment. With Vision For Billion, Lenskart hopes to create awareness and impact through a multi-pronged approach to eye health.
