Booking.com, one of the world’s leading digital travel brands, shares travel insights on where Indians are travelling for upcoming extended weekend.
With a five-day long weekend (August 12 – August 16, with one leave on August 14), leisure destinations are seeing a surge in demand for travel for those craving some time away from the fast-paced city life. According to Booking.com search data, besides metros, Indian travellers are searching for leisure destinations in close proximity of metros like Lonavala, Udaipur, Jaipur, Puducherry and Goa.
Indians are also exploring close-by and easy visa destinations like Dubai, Maldives and Bangkok for the upcoming Independence Day weekend.
