Lummo onboards Abishek Murthy as Chief Growth Officer

Bengaluru, 11 April 2022: Lummo (formerly known as BukuKas) has onboarded Abishek Murthy as their Chief Growth Officer. The Jakarta and Bengaluru-based SaaS company continues to expand its leadership team in India with the addition of names in key roles including Alexander Peter, Senior Vice President, Founder’s Office & People Strategy, Renuka Thakur, Head of Product – Buyer & Storefront at Bukukas, and Amit Chhajer, Director of Engineering.

Abishek Murthy brings along 15+ years of experience to the coveted leadership team. In his previous role at Freshworks, Abishek was the Chief of Staff, for the CRO, and was partnering with the go to market teams in driving growth. At Lummo, he will be responsible for all things business right from marketing to post purchase support. Abishek comes with strong background both in marketing and sales and has exceled at leadership and management roles.

Lummo offers services in form of SaaS solutions to entrepreneurs and brands to help grow their businesses. They work with businesses to provide them with technological solutions and help them build consumer relationships among other services. Lummo has raised a Series C of $80 million in funding led by Tiger Global and Sequoia Capital earlier this year. Other investors such as CapitalG, the growth fund of Google’s parent company Alphabet, Bezos Expedition, the personal investment firm of Jeff Bezos, NuvemShop CEO Santiago Sosa, and former Lazada CEO Max Bittner, also participated in this round.
