Madan Kore, former Citi Group Managing Director, and financial veteran joined Repos’ advisory board. Repos pioneered doorstep fuel delivery in India with over 2000 partners and operations in 220+ locations.
Repos’ Tata-backed founder Kore has 40 years of expertise. He will assist the firm with strategic direction and economic development and help founders Chetan & Aditi Walunj and co-founder Aparajit Subramanian establish an ecosystem that delivers all types of energy to end customers via technology. Kore will lead the next phase of expansion, including the study of additional sector potential, as the venture bridges the clean energy demand-supply gap.
Madan Kore, who had served as managing director of Citi Group, retired in 2022. Between the years 2011 and 2013, he was the owner of his own company. The Indian Institute of Cost Accountants was his alma mater, and he graduated there.
Since the beginning of 2017, Repos has been actively working to develop energy E-Commerce and to aid the world in becoming carbon-neutral. In 2018, Madan discussed the potential legal and financial challenges that lie ahead for Repos with its founding members. Through his direction, Repos was able to optimise its positive social impacts, reduce its negative carbon imprint, and change its regulatory processes. As soon as possible, he will become a member of the Repos team in order to strengthen the foundation of the firm and achieve certain short-term strategic objectives related to the development plan.
“Repos has a specific function. I believe that this industry will be the driving force behind the nation’s economic and social progress. The goal of the government to promote development is backed up by Repos. “I’m happy with the company’s ambition and innovative approach, and it’s a pleasure for me to join the advisory board,” said Madan Kore.
Repos co-founders Chetan Walunj and Aditi Bhosale Walunj stated, “Madan Kore joining Repos’ advisory board is great. He is an experienced economist with commercial acumen and regulatory policy, finance, and growth expertise. With Mr. Kore on our Board, Repos will reach new heights as we reinvent energy distribution and progress toward a carbon-neutral future.”
As we go forward, it is a privilege for Repos to collaborate with a renowned and very knowledgeable leader. According to Aparajit Subramanian, one of the co-founders of Repos, “Mr. Kore brings knowledge and quality to our team, and we are happy to collaborate with him to enhance both our organisation and our impact.”
