Senco Gold & Diamonds has appointed Madhumita Sarcar, a well-known Bengali actress, and Sunita Kaushik, a well-known Assamese actress and dancer, as regional ambassadors.
While Madhumita Sarcar of Bojhena Se Bojhena fame will promote the brand in West Bengal through a campaign that will go live on the occasion of Poila Boisakh, the Bengali New Year, Sunita Kaushik will portray the brand’s legacy and wide range of exquisite jewellery collections in the North Eastern states of Assam and Tripura around the time of Bohag Bihu, a widely celebrated festival in Assam.
The assignment is part of the company’s hyperlocal strategies to create a stronger customer relationship and increase brand visibility in the East and North-Eastern areas. Sarcar will promote the brand in West Bengal through a promotional film to commemorate Pôhela Boishakh. In addition, around the same time as Bohag Bihu, Kaushik will promote the brand and its collections in the North Eastern states of Assam and Tripura.
With a legacy of more than five decades and origins in the east, it was a logical option for Senco Gold and Diamonds to onboard regional brand ambassadors for West Bengal and Assam as part of the first phase of its hyperlocal strategy, according to Joita Sen, director, head, design and marketing.
