Jan 8, 2013: Mahindra and Mahindra which launched its mini SUV Mahindra Quanto in India is all set to take it to South Africa this year. The seven seater Quanto which got a thumping response in India had initial bookings of 12000 within one month of its launch in India will be launched in South Africa in 2013. South Africa has been a good market for Indian automobile companies. The sub-4 metre mini SUV is priced at Rs.5.82 lakh and goes upto Rs. 7.36 lakh for its C8 version. Mahindra has been selling Scorpio, XUV 500, Bolero and Genio pick up series in South Africa. Quanto is powered by 1493 cc twin turbo engine one of the smallest twin turbo engine in the world and has got 5 speed manual transmission.
