May 5, 2013: Mahindra today announced the launch of its first hatchback car ‘Verito Vibe’ in sub 4 metre category. Vibe with overall length of 3,991 metres minus the chopped off boot has been aggressively priced at Rs.5.63 lakhs (Ex Showroom price New Delhi). With
this new launch the competition in the sub 4 metre category is all said to hot up. Mahindra launched Verito Vibe in three variants i.e. D2, D4 and D6.
Powered with a 1.5 litre dCi Renault engine it has got a very roomy cabin which gives it the feel of a Sedan. The engine under its hood produces 65 PS power at 2,000 rpm and 160 Nm of torque. Built on the Verito platform, the backseat can accommodate three persons very easily. It has got a 330 litre boot space and has got a headrest for the middle passenger in the back seat like the Verito. Vibe which is pitched against Swift Dzire and the likes has got much bigger boot space that the later.
The hatchback from Mahindra which is available in three variants has safety features like ABS with EBD and driver airbag only in the top end version that is D6. The D6 version costs Rs.6.49 lakhs. Though the styling of the car gives it a 90’s look, it has got enough features to appeal to the younger generation which includes use of faux carbon fibre trim on the centre console and dash board.
