MakeMyTrip & Goibibo launches video campaign based on safety

After 61 days, domestic travel resumes in India. The Indian travel and tourism industry has come together to make a pledge on safety, a commitment to give priority to traveler’s safety, maintaining hygiene standards in their video campaign.

Online travel agent, MakeMyTrip has partnered with more than 30 major leaders from hospitality, airline and other ancillary industries to provide relaxation for tension-filled nerves of travelers and to gain their confidence back.

Their one and a half minute long video feature various leaders such as, Ajay Singh, CMD, Spicejet; Rajini Hasija, Director, IRCTC; Puneet Chatwal, MD, and CEO, The Indian Hotels Company Limited and Ritesh Agarwal, CEO, Oyo, talking directly to travelers by assuring them about high safety, social distancing measures, sanitation and about hygienic standards that each of them must take care of.

This pledge is a commitment, of taking a step towards reaching out to all Indian travelers to assure them the attempts taken by stakeholders in the travel and hospitality industry and to ensure safety and well being.

The main objective is to gain customer confidence back when it comes to staying at a hotel property or traveling.  The video campaign will be promoted heavily across various digital and social media platforms, on the ground , TV, etc.

MakeMyTrip conducted many surveys in which, it is stated that safety, social distancing, and hygiene are the top issues in traveler’s mind as businesses resume and as the government ease restrictions.

MakeMyTrip has also launched  ‘MySafety’ apart from the pledge while Goibibo has launched ‘ Go Safe’ which creates awareness and knowledge about safety and hygienic measures among hotels, travel partners, and cabs.

Vipul Prakash, COO, Goibibo said, “ Our GoSafe initiative has been launched to provide 3S safety standards which include the sanitized environment, safe practices, and trained staff which enhances traveler confidence.”
