Out-of-home advertising (OOH) refers to those advertisements that hit the consumer when they are out of home. It is also called outdoor advertising. The medium usually used by OOH advertisers are broadcast , print and internet. OOH advertising focus on marketing to consumers while they are in the public place, transit or in some commercial building.

The most common form of OOH advertising is  billboards which you can see on streets and commercial venues. The latest trend in OOH is the use of digital billboards. The transit OOH advertising includes placing ads in buses,subway advertising , truck sides, inside trains etc. other formats of OOH media include ad placed in rest areas, stadiums etc, where consumer don’t expect to see an ad.
