In order to help design a more inclusive business climate and create a world where all women can succeed, Mars, Inc. today unveiled #HereToBeHeard, a new worldwide crowdsourcing initiative that amplifies the voices of women from all intersections, including race, age, sexuality, religion, and ability.

Dolly Singh, a well-known performer and content producer in India who has long been an outspoken proponent of women’s empowerment, will be the country’s representative in this large-scale international initiative. At beheard.mars.com, Dolly will talk about her experiences and invite women to express their opinions. A dynamic group of women from various industries and regions will join her, from the Emmy Award–winning actress and host Tamera Mowry-Housley to influencers like Poppy Jamie, Hani Sidow, Helen Wu, and Kellie Gerardi.

Dolly Singh expresses her feelings on the matter by saying, “I’m very thrilled to be a part of the #heretobeheard campaign, it is amazing working with a business that is working towards women empowerment and wanting to make a positive impact.

“Women have played a tremendous part in our history and leadership at Mars,” says Victoria Mars, a member of the Mars Board of Directors and an ambassador for the company’s Full Potential programme. But we still have work to do. We strive hard to empower more women at work and throughout our extended value chain. More action is necessary due to the severity and urgency of gender inequality in society. When will big business take notice and act if not now? Business may significantly influence how quickly things change. Sharin. At Mars, we’re taking advantage of this chance to broaden the discussion and promote action. The #HereToBeHeard campaign aims to provide all female voices a chance to be heard while also converting what we learn into action plans that advance gender equality.

Dolly is well-known for her online personas, including the savage Guddi Bhabhi who is tired of her mother-in-law/husband, the fearless Zeenat and Shree who never fail to crush down biassed patriarchy and societal norms, and the South Delhi girl who can’t live without her house help Sunita. She has over 1.3 million followers on Instagram and 647k subscribers on YouTube.

The response lead campaign and rallying cry #HereToBeHeard challenges all women to respond to the question, “What needs to happen so more women may realise their full potential?” The thoughts and suggestions we receive from women will be evaluated by Mars, who will also prepare a research. Mars will put these insights and ideas into practise right away and will encourage our partners and colleagues to do the same. The wider Mars Full Potential Campaign/Initiative, in which Mars is committed to assisting women in our workplaces, communities, and marketplace, includes the hashtag #HereToBeHeard. This initiative aims to ensure that women’s voices are heard, learn from them, and be heard.
