The nation’s biggest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), said that during the first year of its introduction, its entry-level small car, S-Presso, crossed the 75,000 units sold and is noted as a milestone.

Launched last year in September, the car that takes the form of a sports utility vehicle debuted in India’s top-10 best-selling cars within a month of hitting the market, the company stated. The company also included, that the S-Presso was an innovative vehicle planned, built and produced, made for India and even the world.

MSI Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) Shashank Srivastava stated, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso has created a powerful niche for itself in a short span of a year with several segment-first features such as dynamic SmartPlay infotainment system centre console, steering mounted audio and voice control.

He added, “S-PRESSO customers have shown a 24 percent greater propensity to accessorise their cars with exclusive and exciting accessories to suit their lifestyle within a year.” With an enhanced buyer interest in the unlock process, In fact, S-PRESSO experienced an increase in positive momentum. For their endorsement of this young brand, we appreciate our customers.

S-Presso is exclusively designed to give a mini SUV feel with the best of technology and features, he said, in line with the expectations of young people.

There is a growing affinity for SUVs, and the existence of an SUV is a well-known fact in almost every budget and section. Termed as a ‘mini-SUV’ by the company itself, without burning off your bank balance, the S-Presso is the nearest you can bring to an SUV.

As a result, the price of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso was held to a minimum level, which indicates that in designing an SUV (lookalike) in the A-segment, the company had to make a few trade-offs.

The versions of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso are Std, Std (O), LXi, LXi (O), VXi, VXi (O), and VXi Plus. The S-Presso provides dual airbags, ABS with EBD, front passenger seatbelt warning, a reverse parking camera and a speed alarm feature, even though it resides in a price-sensitive segment. The S-Presso made a huge impact on the car market, especially in the segment.
