Matthew Saxon has been named Chief People Officer at Zoom.

Matthew Saxon has been named Chief People Officer of Zoom Video Communications, Inc., effective immediately. Saxon has over 20 years of experience in human resources and operations. He was most recently the Vice President of People Operations at Meta, and before that he was Humana’s Senior Vice President of Compensation, HR Operations, and Shared Services. Saxon will lead Zoom’s people-to-experience team and report to Zoom’s Chief Operating Officer, Aparna Bawa.

Zoom’s workforce has grown rapidly in order to meet the demands of its customers and business partners around the world. Saxon will contribute to Zoom’s ongoing growth by scaling all aspects of the organization, including culture, organizational design, talent acquisition, engagement, training and development, employee experience, and infrastructure.

According to Raje, Zoom as a platform could be integrated into any application, into a company’s work streams, or with various technologies.

He stated that the company is working on several projects.

“Imagine using the Zoom interface to control a conference room’s air conditioner or blinds.” That is what the Internet of Things is all about. The large videoconferencing rooms are undergoing renovation.
