MediBuddy, a leading Indian digital healthcare platform rolled out its #EverySingleBreath digital campaign to commemorate World Asthma Day, which was celebrated on 4th May 2021. MediBuddy’s latest campaign has been launched to urge viewers to be mindful of the breathing difficulties that asthmatics can struggle with, in seemingly normal situations.

Asthma continues to be a problematic and worrisome disease in the modern era. Many surveys show that approximately 235 million people suffer from asthma globally. It is estimated that 1 in every 50 people in India has suffered from asthma at some point in their lives. Unlike other common health illness or ailments that come with age, Asthma is a disease to which all are susceptible, irrespective of whether they are adults or children.

This World Asthma Day, MediBuddy urges viewers to be mindful of the breathing difficulties asthmatics face, which includes breathlessness, wheezing, cough and chest tightness which may vary in occurrences and severity. Breathing is something natural and most of us don’t even notice it under normal circumstances, but for those who struggle with Asthma, breathing can be a real struggle.

MediBuddy’s #EverySingleBreath campaign urges people to make their life worthwhile because every single breath they take counts and plays a vital role in their existence. For an asthma patient, situations that are usually considered normal and harmless can in the split of a second potentially turn out to be triggers for a full-blown asthma attack.

The digital campaign #EveryBreathCouns was launched by MediBuddy in collaboration with ITW Playworx. This digital healthcare platform offers a wide range of quality healthcare services for amplifying India’s medical infrastructure including, online doctor consultations, booking lab tests and ordering medicines.

Amidst the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, MediBuddy has also launched several initiatives like Hospital Bed Availability Tracker, a 24*7 helpline number and a Coronavirus Risk Assessment Tool, to curb the further spread of the virus and collectively play their part in combating the virus.

Commenting on the #EverySingleBreath campaign, Satish Kannan, Co-Founder & CEO, MediBuddy, said, “We at MediBuddy encourage individuals to be mindful of those with breathing difficulties, especially during these COVID times.”
