Mercedes Benz Introduces E350 Starting from Rs 57.4 lakh

September 12, 2014: Mercedez Benz, luxury car maker has announced the launch of a premium diesel variant of its luxury sedan E-Class dubbed E350. This model comes with a new engine along with some other additions.

The Mercedes Benz E350 Blue TEC is priced starting from Rs 57.42 lakh and this is the ex-showroom pricing in Pune.

The launch of this variant marks the overhaul of the German car maker’s giant E-Class portfolio inIndia. Moreover, this is the sixth model that is assembled at the Chakan Pune facility, claims Eberhard Kern, Chief Executive and Managing Director during the launch of the luxury car.

As of now, the luxury car maker currently comes in different variants including a 2 litre base petrol version E200, a 2.1 litre diesel E250 CDi and a 5.5 litre V8 petrol flagship variant E63 AMG.

With the launch of the E350 with a 3 litre V6 twin-turbocharged diesel engine that is capable of delivering a peak power of 266 PS and peak torque of 620 Nm respectively. This engine in the E350 is teamed up with a 7 speed dual clutch ‘7G-Tronic Plus’ gearbox that is included in the other E-Class models from Mercedes-Benz such as E200 and E250 CDi. The BlueTEC diesel is claimed to render 0-100 kmph time of 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph.

When it comes to the interiors, the E350 features a high gloss black ash wood trim and panoramic sunroof, rear seat entertainment system. The Mercedes-Benz E350 BlueTEC diesel is packed with features such as intelligent light system, 360-degree camera, attention assist, active park assist, 17 inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, Harman Kardon surround 610 watt 15 speakers and Command Online with voice control.

As of now, all the models from the German car maker have petrol variants and the only exception is the SUVs. Over 20 percent of the total volume of sales is from petrol variants only. The E-Class is the largest selling luxury sedan inIndiaand also the largest selling model for Mercedes-Benz in the country as it has a sales figure of over 25,000 units since its debut on November 1995.
