Mercedes Benz which sells its A-Class in the following forms in Europe i.e. A250, A 220 CDI, A180 CGI and A180 CDI has given a complete makeover to the A-Class. The fresh look is a change from the older one box form and with this change the A-Class spots a sportier two box design. The theme has been inspired from the flagship SLS AMG.
The new A-Class has a good aerodynamic styling and has got plush interiors as well. It has got a long hood and a rather soft looking nose. The cuts of the car are simply superb and will definitely appeal to the customers who would like to own a Merc hatchback. The interiors have been laid out well and maintain the class that Mercedes cars have. It is unlike the typical hatchbacks which tires to be high class. Mercedes has very well balanced the looks and though A-Class is a hatchback and is small, it would fulfil the requirements of the owners.
Look and performance wise it is a car which prospective customers expect from Mercedes. The cars are expected to have a 6 speed manual transmission and 7 speed automatic transmission. With this launch, Mercedes is looking forward to take the competition to a different turf. Mercedes recently has been facing a stiff competition from BMW and Audi with Audi selling the most number of cars this quarter. Just behind is BMW and Mercedes has been pushed to the third position from the numero uno position which it used to hold in India couple of years back.
Mercedes Benz A class would be available in India from May end and the price is expected to be under Rs.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The car is definitely going to make the heads turn of young and affluent class because of its aggressive styling and jaw dropping features packed in a compact car.
