Dec 4, 2012: It seems that Microsoft is going to take on Google head to head with the launch of a series of ad campaigns under the new series ‘Scroogled’. This ad campaign targets at questioning the new ‘Pay to rank’ practice announced by Google in promoting paid listings in product searches. It may be recalled that Google earlier this year had announced its intentions to transform the product search functionality to more of a shopping experience featuring paid listings. Microsoft questions this saying that this would not give honest search results to users. Microsoft is also using this opportunity to promote their search engine Bing highlights its commitment to deliver honest search results. Let us see how Google responds to the aggressive Scroogled ad campaign from Microsoft.
