Microsoft rolls out Nokia X series Android Phones

May 20, 2014: Microsoft seems picking up pace when it comes to releasing services and products with the induction of new CEO. Now they have  The new CEO, Mr Satya Nadella has taken a clear stand on taking a positive approach to have Microsoft products and services on competitor OS/platforms. X series is one among the three product lines of Nokia available in the market. They also have Asha series for budget segment and then Lumia series of Windows phones.

Now coming to the specifications of Nokia XL, it has a 5 inch capacitative  touch screen, 1 Ghz Qualcomm processor, 5 mp rear and 2 mp front end camera. The memory specifications also look impressive with 768 MB RAM and on board memory of 4GB with microSD card slot support. Most of the popular social media apps like Facebook, LINE, Twitter, WeChat, Vine as well as communication and gaming apps like Plants vs Zombies 2, Skype, Spotify, and Viber are loaded into this handset which will be available in India for around Rs 11500. The other unique feature of this model is a feature called ‘Fastlane’ which gives instant access to feeds and updates on social media channels and allows users to update status too instantly.

Two other models are also launched in X series for a price tag of Rs 8000 to Rs 9,000.
