Mobil, India’s largest engine oil brand, has teamed with the year’s most anticipated film, ’83,’ which is slated to hit theatres this Christmas. Through this sports play, India will relive its historic victory in the 1983 World Cup.
The film is expected to spark patriotic feelings across the country. ’83,’ starring Ranveer Singh, has been making headlines since its announcement.
Since the film’s producers revealed that it will be released in theatres, moviegoers have been anticipating its arrival with bated breath.
The film will follow 14 motivated individuals throughout the 1983 World Cup campaign, culminating in a historic victory under Kapil Dev’s captaincy. Ranveer Singh, the film’s protagonist, will be featured in the character of Kapil Dev.
The cast includes Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree, and Pankaj Tripathi. Deepika Padukone will play Romi, Kapil Dev’s wife, in a cameo appearance.
Mobil is the film’s official engine oil partner. This collaboration is one of the numerous projects launched as part of the brand’s ‘Farak Laakar Dekhiye’ campaign, which encourages viewers to make a difference and see a difference.

Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films are presenting 83, a Kabir Khan Films production. Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Phantom Films, Reliance Entertainment, and 83 Film Ltd are the producers.
Kabir Khan directs 83. Reliance Entertainment and PVR Pictures have selected December 24th, 2021 as the release date in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
