 Shangri-La Eros New Delhi is delighted to announce a ten-day culinary celebration of Marwari cuisine by Narayan Jha Maharaj at the hotel’s international cuisine restaurant, Tamra, from 23 August to 1 September 2024. The Marwari pop-up is set to transport guests to the lively and flavourful world of Rajasthan with an exclusive menu crafted to showcase the richness of Marwari cuisine.

During this limited-time promotion, diners will embark on a gastronomic journey where the unique flavours of Marwar come to life in a luxurious setting. The pop-up is designed to offer a  special vegetarian experience for families and friends seeking exceptional culinary adventures accompanied by traditional entertainment. 

As guests enter Tamra, they will be welcomed in an ambiance reminiscent of Rajasthan’s regal heritage. The decor features traditional artefacts, creating an inviting and culturally immersive environment. Live entertainment will include performances of traditional Rajasthani music, further enriching the atmosphere and offering a true taste of the region’s artistic richness.

At the heart of this pop-up is the talented Narayan Jha Maharaj, a master of Marwari cuisine with over 45 years of experience. Starting his culinary journey at the age of 15 in Rajghrana, Rajasthan, Maharaj Jha has become renowned for his expertise in crafting traditional Marwari dishes. His legacy will be reflected in a selection of signature offerings; each prepared with an authentic touch that applauds Rajasthan’s tempting culinary heritage.

Guests will experience the essence of Marwari cuisine through dishes highlighting the region’s creative use of ingredients adapted to its harsh climate. The menu features the hearty Dal Bati Churma, the delicious Gatte ki Sabzi, and the remarkable Ker Sangri. Additional highlights include the spicy Laal Maas and the sweet Mawa Kachori, offering a diverse range of flavours that showcase the depth of Marwari cooking.

For those seeking a phenomenal dining experience, Tamra’s Marwari pop-up promises to deliver a memorable feast set against the backdrop of luxury and sophistication. The event is poised to charm food enthusiasts and elevate the dining experience in New Delhi.

The Marwari specialties are available for the Lunch and Dinner Buffet. The Lunch buffet is priced at INR 3,000 plus taxes per person and the Dinner Buffet is priced at INR 3,200 plus taxes per person.
