Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd announced on 31st August 2020, their renewed tariff plans to attract and bring in more customers to the broadband service offered by the company, JioFiber. The announcement from the firm which is led by Mukesh Ambani comes at a time when the Central Government is pushing to extend the broadband connectivity as Work from home and Online classes during the COVID-19-led lockdowns has increased the consumption of the internet.

In a statement, the company said that JioFiber has revised its existing tariff plans to empower every Indian home. During these difficult times, stable Internet access has become a necessity, the latest tariff plan will be extremely affordable for the customers.

From September 1, JioFiber is providing a 30-day free trial period with no conditions to the customers. The updated package comes with an unrestricted internet with constant speed, which ensures uploading and upload speed is going to be the same. All tariff plans start at a rate of 399 a month.

Jio also said that if a customer does not like the broadband services provided during the free trial phase, the services can be canceled without any problems. The 30-day free trial will provide a speed of 150 Mbps speed for unlimited internet access. The major attraction of the offer is the set-top box providing free access to the top 10 paid OTT platforms featuring in the package along with free voice calls.
