August 3, 2012: Nestle, the Swiss food major has offers incentives and discounts for it dealers on its Maggi instant noodles. Nestle is offering trade incentive for the dealers to buy the product in bulk. According to the analyst the new incentive scheme aims to boost its sales which declined 2% in June quarter.
Maggi which was the leader in noodles market in India has been now facing tough competition from new entrants such as Sunfeast Yipee, Horlicks Foodles and Knorr soupy noodles. The sales volume declined as the company was focusing on price than volume.
