Netflix India has launched the second season trailer of the crime drama Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega. As seen in the eye-catching glimpses in the trailer, this time the world of phishing has expanded.
The new season brings more deceptions and unseen threats and intertwines old rivalries with new characters that bring things to a head when Gudiya (Monika Panwar) takes on Brajesh (Amit Sial). Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega Season 2 will launch on Netflix on September 23, 2022, Tipping Point is produced by Viacom18 Studios by National Award-winning director Soumendra Padhi and writer Trishant Srivastava.
Netflix’s Jamtara-Sabka Number Ayega, which created a huge response in Season 1, has quickly become synonymous with phishing. The series, based on true crime incidents, has brought unprecedented awareness to phishing scams in the country.
Now that the series is coming back stronger with a second season, with more widespread cybercrime, the series promises to show how young fraudsters have innovated and diversified phishing in Jamtara and found themselves at the wall.
Facing insurmountable obstacles, politics, and an unrelenting need for power, Sunny Mondal (Sparsh Shrivastav), his older cousin Rocky (Anshumaan Pushkar), and Gudiya bring the fight to local politician Brajesh Bhaan.
Director Soumendra Padhi sheds some light on the prospects for the upcoming season: “Over the past few years, we have seen a huge increase in the number of phishing scams. We have all received a call at some point asking for an OTP or CVV code. A number of young people in Jamtara took advantage of unsuspecting people who were not tech-savvy and successfully built an infinite money center with a mobile directory and speed dial. Season 1 was a huge success.
“We’ve been humbled by the response and how the word has spread. The ability it had to both educate and entertain people at the same time was incredible. This season we’re going to see our favorites fight back like ‘David’ and try to take on Goliath (Brajesh). Innovating and improving their sand-like cyber fraud plans slips through their hands no matter how they try to control them. As the rivalry intensifies, so will the frauds,” Padhi added.
Apart from Sparsh Srivastav, Monika Panwar, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Amit Sial, Jamtara’s voice of reason, SP Dolly aka Aksha Pardasana is back. The new season also brings new players with Seema Pahwa as Ganga Devi and promising young actor Ravi Chahal.
