New rules for the International arrivals

As we all know our nation is again witnessing the third wave of the covid, the Omicron surges, the government and the states have tightened the revised rules and regulations to control the spreading of the number of covid cases.

Among them, the government has put forward the revised rules concerning the passengers who are travelling between states and coming from other countries.

As per the new guidelines the passenger has to first submit a self-declaration form and a negative RT-PCR test report to the airline online portal before their journey regardless of whether they are vaccinated or not.

According to the protocols ensured to the airlines and the airports the passenger has to undergo a rapid test in the airports and confirm again if they are not positive to make the travel.

The new rules for the International arrivals firstly include submitting a self-declaration form in the Online Air Suvidha Portal before their travel and that must include the details of the place where you are residing for your quarantine days and the purpose of the journey.

Secondly, the passengers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report that must be taken 72 hours from the time of the journey along with the self-declaration form in the Online Portal.

The passengers must state an appropriate reason for travelling in the self-declaration note or the airlines and the government has all the rights to cancel the means of your travel according to the rules ensured by the ministry concerning the covid protocols.

The countries and the states which have the huge number of covid cases rising per day, the ministry has cancelled the flights and travels to those places and you won’t be able to book your travel to these places.

The travellers who must undergo the test on their day of arrival must also prebook their slots in the online portal. 

Before boarding, the mentioned guidelines must be followed and with regard to the travel the airline that you choose to travel to, will let you know with the do’s and don’t that must be followed ahead of the journey.

All passengers must download the Arogya Setu app on their smartphones before they make the journey.

During the travel, all the passengers must follow the instructions implied by the airline and the staff regarding the covid measures and cooperate with them during the whole journey.

On the arrival of the day, the passengers must undergo the rapid tests in the airports and directly go to the quarantine residency and keep them in self-isolation for 7 days, and on the 8th day, they are required to the RT-PCR test again.

If the passengers develop any symptoms during the self-isolation period they must report to the nearby hospital.

Children below 5 years are excluded from the above-mentioned guidelines of travel.
