16th February 2025: News18 Lokmat recently hosted a Real Estate Conclave in Navi Mumbai, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, and experts to discuss the growing landscape of the Navi Mumbai & Raigad region’s Real Estate sector. The conclave served as a key platform for addressing critical issues, opportunities, and policy advancements in the industry.
The conclave was graced by Shri Aseem Gupta, Principal Secretary, Urban Development, who shared key insights on the government’s vision and initiatives for urban growth and real estate development in Navi Mumbai & Raigad. His address underscored the need for stakeholder collaboration to build a dynamic and sustainable urban landscape.
The conclave featured three insightful panel discussions on key factors shaping Navi Mumbai and Raigad’s Real Estate scenario.
The first panel ‘3rd Mumbai – TPS/NAINA/MMRDA’ highlighted Navi Mumbai and Raigad’s vast growth potential. Industry leaders, including Shri Vijay Singhal (MD, CIDCO); Shri Prakash Baviskar (CMD, Baviskar Group); and Shri Devang Trivedi (MD, Progressive Group) shared valuable insights. The discussion focused on key emerging developments, transformative infrastructure projects, and lucrative investment opportunities positioning Navi Mumbai as a prime real estate destination.
The second panel ‘Redevelopment and Self-Development of Old Societies’ brought together experts like Shri Somnath Kekan (Assistant Director, Town Planning, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation); Shri Rajiv Gurav (Director; Urban Analysis & Solutions Consultancy Services); and Architect Atul Mhatre (Director, Wise Reality). The discussion explored the opportunities and challenges of society redevelopment, emphasizing self-redevelopment as a viable alternative that empowers residents with financial and decision-making autonomy.
The final panel discussion, Implementation of Government Policies’ explored regulatory challenges, policy execution, and strategies to enhance the ease of doing business in the real estate sector. Panelists Shri Jitendra Bopale (Director, Town Planning, MSRDC); Shri Shahjirao Anandrao Patil (Partner, S M Developers); and Shri Ateeque Khot (Director, Aashiyana Dream Homes Pvt. Ltd.) shared their viewpoints on streamlining policy and fostering a more efficient regulatory framework.
