NITI Aayog, Atal Innovation Mission in collaboration NASSCOM has launched an ATL AI Step Up module for students in an attempt to bring a familiarization with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its application across the country. The thus launched modules are the next step in bringing artificial intelligence (AI) to Indian classrooms and the earlier version of the module was introduced in February 2020.
NITI Aayog launches ATL AI Step Up modules for students on the Independence Day eve. The main aim of the launch is, in order to drive AI education and innovation to the next level in schools across the country.
Modules are designed in such a way to have a deeper understanding of Artificial Intelligence that helps students from different backgrounds both urban and rural to understand modules effectively. The new modules help students who could not complete the basic modules, to understand the Step-up modules as basic definitions and concepts have been explained elaborately.
CEO of NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant said that Artificial Intelligence is the future of children and thanked the AIM and NASSCOM for the initiative. The mission director of Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) said that the modules are designed for the students of about 10 to 12 years who have no knowledge about Artificial Intelligence. He also added that modules not only create an affinity towards the AI but also ignites about the contribution to the system of innovation.
With the new launch, the step-up module encourages a better and wider understanding of AI that can be applied in real-world projects. The module doesn’t require any previous knowledge. It introduces concepts to students from a very basic level about using interactive tools and activities so as to keep their attention focused.
Debjani Gosh president of NASSCOM said that Robotics, Automation, Artificial intelligence, and its application has marked its entry in all industries including the educational sector. The initiative will help the students who are the youth of tomorrow of the country to get specialized to deal with automation and AI-driven solutions. Officials of AIM, NITI Aayog, NASSCOM, Industry Partners, and Academia attended the virtual launch.
