O4S, a SaaS supply chain startup, has launched ‘Career Boost 2.0’, a diversity and inclusion (I&D) initiative designed to help holiday women have can easily transition to the workplace in the business world.
The program is intended to help them restart their careers after a break, helping them regain their seriousness.
As part of this initiative, the company will provide candidates with a structured referral program, focused mentoring, flexible work options, and expert learning. O4S has received over $10 million in funding over the past few years and is keen to invest in attracting the right talent pool.
The tech sector has experienced a shortage of female employees, with only 26% of women working in technology roles.
So it is even more important for organizations, especially technology-based ones, to nurture what they already have and strive to achieve what they envision.
O4S works hard to create a culture that encourages equal opportunity and empathy. The founders of O4S also believe that women who want to return to work represent a source of talent that is motivated and contributes to needed growth.
The company will provide an environment to address their concerns and fill specific skill gaps.
Speaking at the launch of the initiative, Divay Kumar – Co-Founder and CEO of O4S, said: “Gender stereotypes, pay disparities are discussed heavily on topics that tend to obscure demand for initiatives that help women restart their careers.
With the launch of Career Relaunch 2.0, we hope to provide a launchpad for female technologists who have had to take extended leave from work due to unavoidable circumstances.
This step allows for a smooth transition to a workspace with structure and support. Through this program, we aim to encourage them to pursue their career goals – at O4S, we believe that a career hiatus does not mean a complete stop.
With this initiative, O4S aims to increase diversity in the workplace and seeks to add more than 70 female employees to its workforce by March 2022.
The program has already begun to stimulate Activating cultural change in India’s tech industry by eradicating stereotypes caused by women interrupting their careers.
O4S was founded in 2017 and has raised over $10 million to date, with a recent $6 million Series A investment led by Think Investments.
