Octa has announced a three-year partnership with the Olympic Gold Medallist Neeraj Chopra. The Olympic champion will be helping Octa transform investing into a lifestyle, accessible to everyone in India, according to the investment-focused educational platform. “We have partnered with Neeraj Chopra, a world-class athlete who inspires everyone to move forward and reach for new heights.

This collaboration is not only about investments, but also about trusting professionals on the way to achieving goals. As an outstanding professional who will be able to help us convey this message, Chopra came to our minds first.

Octa launched a video campaign on August 15, 2022, where the gold medallist shared his view on investing and the place it holds in his life. He drew a parallel between investing and sports, saying that both require patience. “I think both sports and investment require a lot of patience. Athletes train very hard but also need to make sure that they don’t rush into competitions before they are 100% fit and ready. With investments too it is similar since you cannot afford to rush into things without properly educating yourself, and also cannot expect immediate results,” he said.

In an official statement, the company stated that Chopra is a top-performing sportsman and the reigning Olympic Champion in the Javelin throw. “After he had a surgery in 2019 to remove bone fragments from his elbow, Chopra went through a very difficult 16-month period of recovery. Through perseverance and determination, he returned to the international scene in 2020. Soon, having broken his own national record, he made his debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he won the gold medal and became the first Indian to win Olympic gold in athletics.

Chopra said, “I am looking forward to this collaboration since I feel financial literacy and the education about the need for investing is critical to India’s youth. I am myself not as aware of investments as I need to be, so I hope to use this collaboration with Octa to also educate myself and use the platform to spread awareness among the country’s youth.”
