Moj LIVE

Nothing brings India together more than festivals. The start of a new year also brings with it winter harvest festivities, which are celebrated with great zeal across the country in various traditions and customs that are unique to each region. During the day, colourful kites fly through the sky, and at night, the warmth of bonfires fills the air, all while people enjoy festive treats like rewris, gajjaks, peanuts, til ladoo, and khichdi. From the 12th to the 15th of January, 10:00 AM onwards, Moj, India’s largest short video app, will host a series of exciting sessions on Moj LIVE to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Lohri and Makar Sankranti.

The Lohri festivities will be live on Moj from January 12th to 14th. Creators will interact with their audience through various sessions on Moj LIVE to showcase Punjab’s rich culture. People from all over India will be able to interact and celebrate the festival through sessions that will feature folk music, traditional delicacies, and various dancing styles and attire. To amp up the celebrations, creators across India will host a ‘Voters Battle,’ in which they will allow the audience to vote on their Lohri outfits and makeup looks, as well as get a chance to participate in multiple quiz sessions about the festival’s history.

On January 14th and 15th, Moj will celebrate Makar Sankranti, the first festival of the year, on Moj LIVE. Moj creators will host fun Sankranti-themed activities for their audience on the platform as the entire country comes to life with great pomp and enthusiasm and the skies turn into a massive colour palette. A ‘Voters Battle’ and a ‘Gifters Battle’ will be organised, in which the creators will undertake activities such as which Sankranti song they should perform or with whom they should fly kites, giving the audience options to make choices for them, the creator with the most votes, and the gifters with the most gifts will be able to participate in real-time with the creator. Moj creators will engage in fun conversations about the importance of sankranti, food and attire and much more.

Moj has introduced three new types of ‘Cheers’ (virtual gifts) to commemorate the various festivals: Bonfire Cheer for Lohri, Kite Cheer for Sankranti, and Pongal Pot Cheer for Pongal. Users can purchase cheers and give them to their favourite creators, who will turn them into mints and celebrate these festivals.

So, join our creators and experience the festivities like never before, only on Moj LIVE starting 14th January from 10:00 AM onwards.
