A medical camp was organized by ONGC Uran Plant on Wednesday 9th August, 2023 in Nagaon Gram Panchayat, Uran. Shri. Subhojit Bose ED-Plant Manager, ONGC Uran inaugurated the medical camp at around 11 am. Representatives from District Health Office Raigad Dr Raj Chavan and Dr. Ellis Jayakar, Heart Foundation also graced the occasion.

The Medical Camp included free Eye Check-up and spectacle distribution, Respiratory ailments screening, TB screening, free medicine and Nutritional Kit distribution. The specialists/doctors visited the Camp for consultation included Ophthalmologists, Pulmonologists and Physicians from reputed hospitals viz. Apollo Hospital and Fortis Hospital, Navi Mumbai along with team of government doctors led by Taluka Health Officer, Uran. Around 600 people living in nearby area benefited from the camp. ONGC organizing team was led by Dr Sanjeev Potdukhe Incharge Medical Uran and Smt. Bhavna Athawale Incharge HR Uran. A team of volunteers from villages led
by Shri Chetan Gaikwad Sarpanch Nagaon Gram Panchayat and Smt. Ranjana Patil Sarpanch Mhatwali Gram Panchayat also contributed for the successful implementation.
ONGC Uran Plant conducts such medical camps at regular interval for the benefit of nearby community. ONGC’s role has been pivotal for socio-economic development of Uran since past several years by way of its CSR interventions like providing basic sanitation, water, street lights facilities in nearby villages, upgradation of schools & healthcare facilities, providing skill development & self-employment opportunities for youth, women & tribal communities, etc.
In the end, a certificate of appreciation was conferred to ED-Plant Manager, Uran by ADHS office-Mumbai Division, Public Health Department, Govt of Maharashtra acknowledging ONGC’s contribution during covid-19 pandemic.
