Google LLC announces the launch of its Recommendation AI tool in public beta test mode, earlier launched in April 2019 in private beta test mood. This is aimed to help the online retailer provide a better-personalised product recommendation and relies on Google’s highly trusted Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.

Google Product Manager Pallav Mehta speaks about the benefits that the users have initially derived from the use of this tool. He mentions that Recommendation AI tools have been able to keep a close track on the user’s shopping history and browsing habits and recommend the products to the customers that they would prefer purchasing. Customers highly recommend the use of user-friendly and recommendation based online platform and the retailers have also emphasized the recommendable growth in sales that they have witnessed from the use of this tool.

Customers have an opportunity to create a variety of recommendation models with the help of the recommendation tools, and these models can be used by retailers to target their customers. The recommendation AI tool can collect data from Google Cloud services such as Merchant Center, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 360, and BigQuery that enables it to draw better recommendations and enhance the customer experiences with the online platform.

Google has constantly worked on the Recommendation AI tool since its launch last year to improve its capabilities. Google has worked precisely on its Google brain and Google research team, which now allows the tool to support “tens of millions of items” or catalogs, according to Mehta.

Recommendation AI tool has to ability to correct itself on the basis of seasonality and trending on-sale items. The model training infrastructure enables the Recommendation tool to draw recommendations from the changing catalogs and the redesign the models regularly, based upon the user behavior and shopping trends.

The early adopters of this Tools mention about the boost that it has given to their E-commerce business. “Recommendations AI was easy to integrate with our existing recommendations framework, and enabled us to deliver next-gen recommendations without a ton of work”, says Galaxus, Switzerland’s online market leader in the fields of IT, consumer electronics, and telecommunication. They also address the customer’s need during the pandemic and mention that during a pandemic, it is very important for a customer to find the product that they need. The recommendation AI has addressed the essential needs of the customers and has helped them to keep up with the customer’s choices and preferences. The tool had conveniently adapted to the growing needs of its customers and has increased its ClickThrough Rate (CTR) by 40% as compared to their previous period.

Google’s Recommendation AI is available in 3 tier pricing stages, based on the prediction request per month. The prices vary from $0.27 to $0.10 according to the tiers and the prediction requests per month. They have also allowed a free trial for the recommendation AI, which allows a $600 free credit. This free credit is enough to train and test the tool’s compatibility and it expired after 6 months of signing up.
