August 12, 2014: Oppo, the China based vendor entered the Indian market lately with some of its offerings including the Oppo N1, Find 7 and Find 7a. Now, the firm has announced the launch of yet another smartphone that is the mini variant of its flagship model N1. Well, the device is none other than the N1 Mini that is priced at Rs 26,990.
Last week, the firm had already assured that it will be launching the Oppo N1 Mini in the country on August 11 at an event held inNew Delhi. Going by the same, the device was launched in the market on Monday bearing the aforementioned price tag.
When it comes to the specifications, the Oppo N1 Mini houses a 5 inch IPS LCD display that packs a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels resulting in an average pixel density of 294 pixels per inch. Powering the device from within is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that is supplemented by Adreno 305 graphics engine and 2 GB of RAM for efficient multi-tasking and smooth performance.
On the imaging front, the Oppo smartphone is equipped with a 13 MP rotating snapper that is teamed up with auto focus, LED flash and FHD 1080p video recording. This camera can click snaps at 50 MP resolution and 24 MP ultra HD videos. The handset bundles 16 GB of native storage that cannot be expanded.
Oppo has given the N1 Mini a 2,140 mAh battery that should be capable of delivering a decent backup to the device under mixed usage. The device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system topped with Color OS UI. The connectivity features onboard include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and USB OTG.
When it comes to the differences of the N1 Mini with the N1, the bigger kin features a FHD 1080p display and a Snapdragon 600 chipset. Also, there is NFC support and an enhanced 3,610 mAh battery under its hood for improved backup.
