Paytm Foundation donated laptops to teachers and students associated with the Ek se Shrestha program in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh through the Act to Transform Foundation. These 150 laptops will help 2500+ students associated with Ek Se Shrestha Program, spread across 120 panchayats. Paytm Foundation also committed to digitize receipt of various payments at the Panchayat office of Hamirpur.
Ek se Sreshtha initiative was launched on October 5, 2021 focusing on the holistic development of children between 7 and 12 age groups by giving them after-school education. Within one year, the organisation impacted the lives of more than 2,500 children across their 120 centers. Paytm Foundation shall further train teachers and students on effective use of laptops and softwares for educational purposes.
Gracing the event, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth Affairs & Sports Shri Anurag Thakur lauded the efforts made by Paytm Foundation. The laptops will be used for educational sessions and increase the interest level of the students in learning new concepts. Paytm Foundation aims that the provision of laptops will further enhance efficiency and productivity of these teachers and students, in line with the vision of Digital India at last mile.
