Pepsi bets on sating the thirst of India’s zero sugar market

With an intention to bring positive choices to health-conscious consumers today, Pepsi, for the first time, tosses a brand campaign for its zero-calorie variant Pepsi Black. The latest ‘Max Taste with Zero Sugar’ campaign marks the balance of taste and health. The campaign plays Pepsi’s most iconic Cindy Crawford commercial with Bollywood diva, Jacqueline Fernandez.   

The film is set at a private vintage gas station where two young boys are seen filling their tanks, and a girl on a bike soon pulls over at the gas station. She parks her bike and removes her helmet, and reveals that the girl on the bike is Jacqueline Fernandez, wearing cut-off jean shorts and a white tank top. The film shows Jacqueline taking a guzzle from the Pepsi Black can. The boys are seen being stunned, and the film keeps you guessing whether they are fascinated by Jacqueline’s presence or by the new Pepsi Black can, only to innocently indicate that all this while, the boys were fascinated by the new Pepsi Black. The tantalizing film ends by reinstating that the new Pepsi Black promises you maximum taste with zero sugar.

Regarding the new film, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez, said, “I have always marveled at the iconic Pepsi commercial and have always looked forward to teaming up with the brand. It has been special to recreate the timeless Cindy Crawford ad, and I am honored to bring this to life for the new SWAG generation of today. It’s been amazing shooting for this commercial, and I am sure that the new Pepsi Black with zero sugar will appeal to consumers across India as it did to me.”   

The new Pepsi Black takes the brand’s commitment to constantly innovating and reiterates its belief in Winning with pep+. The new Pepsi Black TVC will amplify via a robust 360-degree campaign traveling TV, digital, outdoor, and social media. The new matte cans are available across all modern and traditional retail outlets in India and on leading e-commerce platforms.
