Oct 5, 2012: The cola maker PepsiCo is likely to cut the price of its 600 ml PET bottles by Rs 3. As per the revised pricing, Pepsi 600 ml PET bottles will be available at Rs 25 . According to the market watchers, the move by PepsiCo is to push for higher sales volume during the festive season.
However, the rival Coca-Cola is yet to announce any such promotional offers and some sources even report that they plan to increase the price of its 600 ml PET bottles from Rs 28 to Rs 30 in selected markets. According to the independent sources, Pepsi has made the move at the cost of its profits but hopes to offset the effect by increasing the sales volume.
