Pernod Ricard India forays into non-alcoholic wine category

Today, leading Australian wine brand, Jacob’s Creek announced the launch of Unlined, a non-alcoholic wine with but 0.5% alcohol, available in two varietals – Riesling and Shiraz. Unvined, a contemporary expression of winemaking, is that the perfect answer to occasions when one wants to enjoy a glass of wine without the alcohol content yet retain truth character of the first styles and flavors.

The winemakers at Jacob’s Creek use sophisticated technology which removes alcohol whilst capturing most of the initial aromas and flavors of the wine. The Unvined range has 50% fewer calories than regular wine of the identical varietal, catering to the evolved consumer base trying to find varied options to suit their preferences and mood. With the introduction of those two new varietals under the non-alcoholic wine category, Jacob’s Creek truly delivers on a coveted portfolio of wines that everybody round the table will want to achieve for.

Unvined Riesling has citrus, lime, and floral flavours that are characteristic of Australian Riesling. The light-bodied palate of the non-alcoholic wine with refreshing fruit notes is balanced by crisp acidity on the finish. While Unvined Shiraz has appealing plum, blackberry and spice note distinctive to a South Australian Shiraz. Its medium-bodied palate delivers sweet fruit and a lightly toasty oak flavour supported by soft ripe tannins. Unvined are often readily enjoyed with a large selection of foods. The Riesling red meat, seafood dishes, and salads play an ideal companion. Lighter curries complement the Shiraz perfectly.
