P&G India’s 5thAnnual WeSeeEqual Equality & Inclusion Summit concludes in Mumbai
Procter & Gamble India (P&G India) makers of brands like Whisper, Ariel, Gillette, Pampers etc. today concluded its 5th annual #WeSeeEqual Equality and Inclusion Summit 2024.  The event convened distinguished advocates and personalities to spark impactful conversations with employees on varied topics including evolving concept of family, mental wellbeing, true equality, and intersectionality of various inclusion aspects. These conversations were aimed at inspiring employees and driving collective meaningful action to fuel a positive change.
The event was simulcasted across P&G locations, and employees from the P&G India manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, turned up in big numbers to partake in the dialogues.
Built on the theme UNIQUE and UNITED, this #WeSeeEqual summit was anchored on the underpinning thought that the differences in the lived experiences of people make up their unique identities, and when many such unique voices come together, it leads to better outcomes for everyone. Therefore, when uniqueness and diversity is truly embraced in all its forms, and people unite to create an inclusive environment, the workplace is better positioned to drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrinalini Srinivasan, Senior Director – Finance and Sponsor – Equality & Inclusion, P&G India said, “In India, 2 out of 3 Households use P&G products. That is a diverse consumer set encompassing young and old, men and women, straight and queer, urban and rural, abled and disabled, neurotypical or neurodivergent and many more. Therefore, it is imperative for us to respect and reflect the diversity of our consumers in everything we do. Through our brands sparking pertinent conversations to connect with consumers on shared values and beliefs, as well as through policies and programs that create an equal and inclusive environment and enable our people to be their authentic selves, we have remained committed to ensure that #WeSeeEqual. As we celebrate the 5th edition of our #WeSeeEqual Summit, we are inspired to hear from the leading voices and engage in meaningful dialogue that can help us all see through and tackle our conscious and unconscious bias. Initiatives like Ariel #ShareTheLoad and Whisper #KeepGirlsInSchool, alongside progressive policies such as inclusive parental leave and extending support to employees who are caregivers to children with disabilities, among others, exemplify our commitment to equality and inclusion through our brands and within our workplace.”
