May 2023: P&G Shiksha, the flagship CSR program of P&G India, has set up a unique experiential zone at the Bandstand Promenade in Mumbai, inspired by its latest campaign – Bridging Invisible Gaps.
The experiential zone offers a one-of-its-kind opportunity for people to learn more about the widespread issue of invisible learning gaps in children’s education through various interactive activities. This includes:
- Virtual tour to Himachal Pradesh: This unique experience will transport people to a P&G Shiksha supported school in a scenic village in Himachal Pradesh, using a virtual reality device, where you can meet the students and the teachers at the school and hear their stories of overcoming the invisible learning gap.
- Art-Installation: This beautiful showcase of art will compel people to stop their stroll and ask why a little girl is hiding behind a desk at what appears to be a classroom. The art installation aims to encourage people to sit next to the girl, take a trip down memory lane, to the nostalgia of hiding from the teacher in classrooms to understand how learning gaps impact children.
- A Power-Packed Nukkad Natak: On weekend evenings, young college students from Mumbai’s Mithibai College are leaving the audience mesmerized through their portrayal of the learning gap via a power-packed Nukkad Natak. The act aims to simplify the issue of learning gaps and drive awareness on the ways it manifests itself in children, helping parents to tackle this and take corrective measures to bridge the gap.
The experiential zone also offers several other engaging activities which people can experience and share with their family and friends, all with the objective of driving awareness on the issue of #InvisibleGaps. People can visit the zone up till May 21, 2023.
